Stacy Arias joins Southern Strategy Group with more than 23 years of experience working in Florida government. Stacy most recently served as the Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Corrections. In this role, Stacy assisted the Secretary in stabilizing the Department by setting new standards for transparency, accountability, and culture shift, as well as provided policy direction to various program areas within the Department. In 2012, Stacy was recruited to the Florida Department of Management Services as Deputy Secretary of Business Operations to direct and support efforts related to budget, policy, communications, and public procurement. Stacy began her career Florida government in 1993 at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. During Stacy’s tenure at the Department, she served in various capacities including Deputy Bureau Chief, Bureau Chief, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief of Staff with responsibilities ranging from overseeing 3,000 annual purchasing transactions, overseeing the Division of Motorist Services, managing the Department’s public communication office, administering the Department’s human resource functions, and setting strategic goals for the executive level program areas, including workforce services, strategic planning, procurement and contracts, accounting, risk management, and Cabinet affairs. Stacy leverages her extensive operations expertise to help Southern Strategy Group’s clients develop effective strategies to achieve meaningful change in Florida’s ever-evolving system of administrative policy.
Stacy received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Florida State University.
