Kate DeLoach is an eighth generation Floridian and Florida Keys native. Kate served six years as District and Legislative Aide to State Representative Holly Raschein (R-Key Largo). Rep. Raschein currently serves as the Chair of the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Committee.
Opening Southern Strategy Group’s sixth regional office in the Florida Keys, Kate brings a unique perspective to the firm, as well as strong relationships with individuals and organizations at the local, state, and federal levels in South Florida and Tallahassee. Growing up and working in Florida’s southernmost county, Kate has a deep understanding of the challenges facing the Florida Keys as an Area of Critical State Concern, including experience navigating complex issues related to marine resources, commercial/recreational fishing, natural resource protection, land use, property insurance, and transportation. Kate’s knowledge and understanding of state government and a diverse range of issues will be an asset to her clients and the policies and projects for which she advocates.
Kate grew up in Key Largo and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Flagler College in St. Augustine and her Master of Arts degree in International Relations from The City College of New York before moving back home to Florida. Kate lives in the Florida Keys with her husband, John, and enjoys reading, fishing, scuba diving, and Florida Keys history.
