Eric Criss

 

Eric Criss is a lobbyist with Southern Strategy Group in Tallahassee.  Eric serves as President of the Beer Industry of Florida, an association of Florida’s largest beer distributors.  In this capacity, Eric acts as the association’s chief lobbyist and spokesperson.  Eric also serves as an adjunct professor of public policy at Florida State University.  Eric’s experience includes assisting Fortune 500 corporations and trade associations in the technology, energy, education, gaming, and alcohol industries.

Prior to relocating to Tallahassee in 2007, Eric was based in Washington, DC, where he managed state government relations for Home Depot.  In 2003, Eric was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Eric began his career at the National Republican Senatorial Committee where he served U.S. Senators Don Nickles and Phil Gramm. Eric later acted as consultant to the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci.  Eric graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and the Classics, the Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s degree in Government, and the Florida State University with PhD in History.

Eric resides in Tallahassee with his wife and two children.
