Polk County School Board member Hazel Sellers and Robert “Jeff” Kincart, president of Kincart Construction Co., have been appointed to the Central Florida Regional Planning Council.
Sellers, filling a vacant seat, is appointed to a term ending Oct. 1. Lakeland’s Kincart, also vice president of American Compliance Technologies, succeeds Marshall Goodman. His term ends Oct. 1, 2016.
Gov. Rick Scott announced their appointments Tuesday, along with those of Donna Howerton of Sebring, vice president of South Ridge Abstract; Mary Yeargan of Brandon, director of district management for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection; and Elvie Posey of Okeechobee, a retired dairy farmer.
Howerton fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term ending Oct. 1. Yeargan succeeds Deborah Getzoff and is appointed for a term ending at the pleasure of the governor. Posey fills a vacant seat and his term runs until Oct. 1, 2016.
