JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 27, 2016—BCR Environmental Corporation (BCR), a proven innovator of technologies for the advanced treatment and conversion of wastewater and organic waste, today announced that President and CEO Aaron Zahn was honored by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of the city’s up-and-coming leaders under the age of 40 who, according to the publication, are building on Jacksonville’s rich past while working toward its brighter future. Commenting about the award, Zahn, a world leader in wastewater and organic waste recycling infrastructure, said, “This recognition is a nod for the progress we’re (BCR) making towards our mission to improve the environment.”

Since Zahn assumed the reins of BCR seven years ago, BCR has become the preeminent developer and operator of public and private organics waste recycling facilities that convert waste into marketable end products. He is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences and events about infrastructure innovation, public private partnerships and environmental issues. Known for its environmentally responsible and economically viable technologies, BCR is the only company in the world to work with the U.S. EPA to develop new, certified technologies for the treatment of organic waste into marketable products since 1987.

The 40 Under 40 awards were presented at the publication’s luncheon ceremony held April 26 at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort.
